Happy New Year! Time to publish something updated and something new. Updated little my The Empire: From the Civil Strife to the Storm document. And then I have started building new Careers for the WFRP4 and the first one is here: Animal Trainer. There will be more. These careers are more "universal", so they are suitable to many species and cultures. Some, like Animal Trainer, will feature new rules.
WFRP4 Career: Animal Trainer, Version 1.0 (PDF).
The Empire: From Civil Strife to the Storm, Version 1.5 (PDF). Spoiler Alert! You should always consult your GM first before reading these... Now, even the document has spoilers about TEW ending, but who doesn't know these things? They have been World-That-Was history for a long time.

WFRP4 - Blood and Bramble & Hirelings of the Old Wold (Cubicle7, DriveThruRPG)
Little reading for the holidays. Two new PDF releases! First one is Blood and Bramble, which details ancient Hedgecraft and dreaded Witchcraft. It has total 24 new spells expanding both very much. I like it. Few additional details and characters also. The other PDF is Hirelings of the Old World detailing four NCPs.
Besides these check also their Recap of 2021 (link below) if your missing anything.

WFRP4 - Past Month News (Cubicle7, DriveThruRPG)
It's been quiet on my site for sometime now (well, since the Google Drive link changes, see more from news before). But, it's not been quiet on Cubicle7. They have published couple of waited sourcebooks.
First one is Archives of the Empire, Volume II. Personally I wanted more WFRP4 RPG information about Ogres, and we have it here. How to create Ogre character, their careers, even their magic... And huge amount of other details about them. But, the book also has other interesting chapters detailing Astrology, The Great Hospice and Mass Combat ideas. Then, what I found very interesting, there is a Chapter called A Touch of Magic - Magical Items and Artifice, which gives many details and tables about all types of magical items and their effects. With this information you can easily create magical items with interesting details. And there is even more information there you can use.
Second book is The Enemy Within Director's Cut Part V: Empire in Ruins Companion. Now, like the previous ones, this gives HUGE amount of options for your campaings, and I mean beyond TEW too. It has interesting characters (with full information and pictures), optional encounters or small adventures, great art... and new bestiary.

Important Notice #2/2021!
IMPORTANT NOTICE #2!
As I mentioned before, there is, or was, some problems with my sites Google Drive links. This is caused by security update on Google Drive. I have updated the changed links, and they should work now... But, I did notice few changes how they work.
Before:
Both files and pictures could be downloaded without Sign In (to Google).
Now:
1) Some links are NOT updated by Google Drive to the new format. I don't know why, but I'm pretty sure they will forced eventually. So, I have to check this later on, and this same problem may occure with them eventually. But, for now - You can download these files like before.
2) Now links that are updated can be previewed, but you need to Sign In with Google Account to download them. Example: You can use Chrome, where you have signed in and surf to my site and there to the download link.
3) Picture links seem to remain same and should work as they did.

IMPORTANT NOTICE #1/2021!
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
I have received number of file sharing requests recently and there is a reason for this. This site, as you may have noticed, uses Google Drive for file sharing. Now, Google has updated their security policy with the Drive link-sharing (You can "google" more for this easily). I didn't really pay too much attention to this, so the file links do this now. My links are shared-with-anyone, but still affected. So, I'll probably have to go through all the links and update them. I'll update here when it is done.

WFRP4 - Last Weeks News, This Weeks News... (Cubicle7, DriveThruRPG)
Cubicle7 last weeks biggest news is off course The Enemy Within Director's Cut Part V: Empire in Ruins pre-order and PDF. I'm not going to do review what's inside, not to spoil anything. But, even it is familiar story, it is also very much new version of The Enemy Within ending. And it connects nicely all the information we have currently with the conclusion of TEW... Or does it? I am still waiting for the Empire in Ruins Companion interested to see all the extra stuff they have there.
Besides Empire in Ruins, there is a new map also. Which covers the entire Empire (and little more too). Looks really nice, but it's not the super accurate map I was waiting to see finally, with huge amount of details and ALL the places ever invented... Could we finally get that too?
To spoil little Empire in Ruins - There are number of civil strife events going on around the Empire, that are not really covered detail in Empire in Ruins (unless more details come on Companion). And I'm little puzzled are these left for each GM to handle as they see fit... Is this the ending of the Turmoil period? Or is there more coming after TEW? Why do I think so? Well, let's move to this weeks news then.
This weeks news are Further Future Visions - Teasers what is coming. And it has really good looking picture of Salzemund (or so it says on the article). Maybe more information about Nordland and the northern situation after TEW is coming?

The Empire: From Civil Strife to the Storm, Version 1.0
Hi! It's really been long time that I have actually published something new here (besides news). I decided to create something that is both little preview for my new version of timelines (which are coming...), but also connected to the upcoming final episode of The Enemy Within -Director's Cut (TEW Volume 5). Which I am very much waiting (and probably brings more details to this document).
Spoiler Alert! You should always consult your GM first before reading these... Now, even the document has spoilers about TEW ending, but who doesn't know these things? They have been World-That-Was history for a long time.
My small document collects various information about provinces, rulers, other important personel and timeline of The Empire. Starting from just before the Civil Strife. It details changes from 2512 IC all the way to the circa 2521 IC (just before either Storm of Chaos or The End Times). I also try to connect all the information from different WFRP versions and various other sources together, which is sometimes little difficult...
And then something to think about. Is the document missing something? Is something wrong there? Or do you know some other correction? Do you know some source that is missing? Do you have any other ideas that could or should be added there? Just send email!

WFRP4 - Folk and Folklore Part 8 (Cubicle7)
This week Cubicle7 published article by Dave Allen called Folk and Folklore of the South: The Madcraw Clan's Dreams and Depredations. Surprise, it is article about Greenskin, Night Goblin, tribe from the Black Mountains. It would be interesting to see more rules and details about Greenskin WAAAGH! abilities and about their strange magic. Well, we have to see if more of this is coming... This article is connected to the fifth and final part of the TEW called Empire in Ruins.

WFRP4 - Folk and Folklore of the Reikland Part 7: THE HOLZKRUG DYNASTY (Cubicle7)
This week Cubicle7 published article by Dave Allen called Folk and Folklore of the Reikland: The Holzkrug Dynasty. It details another powerful noble dynasty of Reikland, which is connected to the "Black Chamber" - Altdorf's spy ring. And increasing discord between Graf Liepmund of house Holzkrug and Immanuel-Ferrand Holswig-Schliestein. The ambitions of these men are part of the fifth and final part of the TEW called Empire in Ruins.

WFRP4 - Fractious Nobles and their Stances (Cubicle7)
This week Cubicle7 published interesting blog post by Dave Allen called Trouble and Turmoil - Fractious Nobles and Their Stances Circa 2512 IC. This is interesting article connected to the final episode of the TEW campaign. Originally the Empire in Flames, which is the final part of the TEW, was epic conclusion of the campaign. There was major conflict between Ulricans and Sigmarites dividing the provinces and causing civil war / civil strife. And changing the Empire. Now, the same war is probably coming on Director's Cut too, but this time it might be little different too. Because the ending needs to be remade little differently. Still, the Civil War part gives huge amount of interesting possibilities... We probably see more articles related to this one.

WFRP Mini-campaign: Araby or Bust! (Or Let's Take Road Trip to Nehekhera!) by Xathrodox86 . Another interesting fan-project. Three part campaign set to the fabled realms of Warhammer Araby. Campaign doesn't feature character or creature stats involved, so it is totally edition-neutral and you can easily adapt it to any version (or even other game system).

WFRP4 - The Horned Rat Companion PDF Available! And Other News (Cubicle7, DriveThruRPG)
Let's start with The Horned Rat Companion (PDF is available now). First little spoiler from The Horned Rat - The Episode 4 will take adventurers away from Middenheim presenting "new" locations on the Middle Mountains. So, Episode 4 is interesting new version, bringing always nasty and interesting Skaven to campaign (well, they always had small part in TEW, but now they get much bigger role). Companion basically has a small Skaven Sourcebook in it. You got alot of information about the Skaven (history, clans, weapons, magic, bestiary). With just few pages more, it could have been little more better featuring few more things from The Childred of The Horned Rat (WFRP2). But, Companion is not just Skaven, it features more information about the Middle Mountains. And one of the interesting famous locations there - Brass Keep. Companion also has bestiary, Ironbreaker career, couple of adventures, NPCs...

WFRP4 - The Horned Rat PDF Out Now! (Cubicle7, DriveThruRPG)
Cubicle7 has published The Enemy Within Director's Cut, Volume 4: The Horned Rat. As I write this, I haven't been able to download my PDF yet, so no more details about that one. But, I think this is where TEW goes pretty interesting. You may, or may not, know that originally the fourth instalment of TEW was Something Rotten in Kislev, which took the adventures to Kislev. It was more like side-quest, very different from previous adventures and many didn't like it's style. Something Rotten in Kislev was also small sourcebook about Kislev. So, it is interesting to see how new Episode 4 continues TEW plot probably totally different direction. And even I don't have my PDF, everything sure seems to point, that Skaven are strongly involved on this one, and that the adventure will detail Middenheim's undercity.
Besides Volume 4 there are number of other items: The Horned Rat Companion is coming (offcourse). Then there is The Horned Rat Player Journal, The Horned Rat GM's Journal, and even new WFRP Dice Trays.

Happy Birthday Kalevala Hammer!
Happy Birthday this site! Yet, another year behind. Site is now 14 years old.
I would say it's been another good year for Warhammer. Cubicle7 has continued to publish WFRP4 (and also Age of Sigmar) strongly providing some sourcebooks and alot of interesting updates and small adventures. Sourcebooks have been pretty nice and finally we have sourcebook about Altdorf (not that new Middenheim book and map was any worse). Still, the most interesting part of TEW is probably still coming, and this is the final two volumes (with companions). But, I would still love to see sourcebook about the entire Empire and then also Chaos, after that maybe Dwarfs, Elves...etc.
Total War: Warhammer is also growing and will expand the World-That-Was even further. Amazing game, which truly captures the Warhammer world. Also, even there haven't been much news about the Old World (World-That-Was) project, hopefully it is still coming. And hopefully we will also hear some news about that too.
Remember to visit Winds of Chaos -forum. Also, more talk on Rat Catchers' Guild Discord channel and on Warhammer Reddit.
Remember to keep the hammer high! Cheers J

And the coundown to Cubicle7 published The Enemy Within Director's Cut, Volume 4: The Horned Rat starts. They have published teaser article what is coming. Volume 4 will be interesting part on this TEW Director's Cut, as it sounds that it will be different what the original version was. I don't know this, but sure sounds that much more man-sized rats will be involved... We will have to see where the story takes and how the campaign will continue to it's final part.

WFRP4 - Altdorf: Crown of the Empire PDF OUT NOW! (Cubicle7, DriveThruRPG)
As you may have noticed Cubicle7 has published Altdorf: Crown of the Empire sourcebook (currently PDF only). As promised, it is massive. Over 200 pages full of information and beatiful art. Style is similar to previous sourcebook Middenheim: City of the White Wolf, but even bigger. So, where to begin - Let's start with map.
Map
Map looks familiar. Exactly the same as found from The End Times: Glottkin. Well, that is the official look, so better not change it too much. Style of the map is similar to new Middenheim map. Pretty nice 3D view. Not bad, but not the best either. What troubled me on The End Times map and now here is that Altdorf looks too small. I know the map is little abstract view, but still it could, or should, have had little more buildings. Maybe little bigger scale too. And how far is that Altdorf's Reiksport? Well, it is mentioned on the book too. Still, map is pretty nice.
Sourcebook
Like I mentioned already - massive. The amount of details, hooks, ideas is just huge. Could there be more? Well, maybe little more (streetnames, little more places...), but book is still great, with full of information.
- History and Timeline (But, did the timeline go right?)
- Governance of Altdorf. Which gives details from the Emperor's Family to various ambassadors.
- Gangs of Altdorf (The Fish and The Hooks)
- Details of City from district to district
- Beyond the Walls
- Espionage in Altdorf (another interesting addition)
- Proscribed Cults and Extremist Groups
- Over 45 detailed NPCs (didn't count myself). These include famous characters like Rosanna Ophuls, Thyrus Gormann, Filthy Harald Kleindeinst, Kurt Hellborg...
- Festivals, entertainment, knightly orders, bed and board, gates, bridges, weather, bestiary...etc.

Fan - CHAOS RISING (chaosrisingofficial.com, Kickstarter)
You never know what fan-based projects may come around. Another fan of Warhammer (and my site) brought this one to my attention. And what can I say – This is pretty amazing looking kickstarter called CHAOS RISING.
The CHAOS RISING is a short film (or 3-part series) about Old World, inspired by the Warhammer Fantasy Universe. It is not just about Warhammer, but it follows Norscan Svarthamarr Clan. It is made by long-time fans of the Warhammer Fantasy, but also by pretty professional looking group.
See more from the official site and official Kickstarter site (links below). Their teaser or trailer (about 5 minutes) has much more information. Little warning – It has Violence and Gore (still, it's funny). So, depending your home country it probably has some PG or even R rated rating… I don’t know. You been warned. Blood for the Blood God!

Cubicle7 has published two interesting articles. First one is about their upcoming sourcebook Altdorf: Crown of the Empire. This is going to be big one (mentioned to be 224 pages) and I'm very interested to see this sourcebook and especially the map that probably comes with it. Blog post from Dave Allen is called A City in Flux - Mutant Monstrosities in the Capital. It has details of some interesting horrors that are found from the city.

WFRP4 - Shrines of Sigmar PDF (Cubicle7, DriveThruRPG)
Happy New Year! And what better way to start new year, than some new reading for the WFRP.
Cubicle7 has published another interesting small PDF resource Shrines of Sigmar. It features five Sigmar's Shrine locations, which are: Delberz, Uathach (Bögen Valley), The Hammer's Stand (Reikwald Forest), Ruins of Lowengen village, and Fielbach. You can buy it from DriveThruRPG.
Each location has some basic information, and then the interesting part titled "The Secret" (they are all very interesting, but I personally liked Fielbach's - town which you can find south from Altdorf along the River Reik). Each location also features table for praying results and Adventure Hooks (and even little more information). Very interesting resource, which can easily be used with any WFRP version. See more about it from official news below:
