WFRP4, AoS, W40K - General Production Update! (Cubicle7, FoundryVTT)

I don't usually have too much Age of Sigmar or W40K news here (try to keep into good old Warhammer World-That-Was or Old World). But, Cubicle7 had nice collection of their product news on their latest post including all those games, so link features all of them. One of the new product presented is a new Map of Middenheim, which is already available for pre-order. Middenheim: City of the White Wolf is offcourse coming as are next TEW episodes. Other interesting products are Archives of the Empire (Vol 1) and The Imperial Zoo. See more from official news below:

Gotrek: Realmslayer - A Gotrek Gurnisson Series (Black Library)

Gotrek Gurnisson, the greatest slayer of the World-That-Was (or not so good, as he never found his doom). This cursed and blessed slayer found his doom or destiny at the end of the world, leaving behind his loyal companion Felix Jaeger. End of story... Or is it? No, Gotrek is back! He has been resurrected somehow to the Age of Sigmar and must continue his strange journey.

This autumn Gotrek's story continues in Black Library audio drama box written by David Guymer.

Warhammer - AGE of SIGMAR: Malign Portents (GW)

New Year, New stuff... No, I'm not turning my site to Warhammer: Age of Sigmar -site. But, as Age of Sigmar RPG is also coming, I taught some coverage of those news also would be right.

Age of Sigmar, and especially Mortal Realms in that setting, have been little mystery to many old school Warhammer fans. Most people know pretty well the former Warhammer World, that is now referred as "World That Was" (as it was destroyed at the end of The End Times). Yet, this new Mortal Realms setting is confusing and strange. And why would it not be - It is strange "bubble world" setting, with multiple bubble realms hovering in space (or Aether or something). Yet, all these realms are worlds and basically settings themselves. The thing is, that they are also magically connected, so this really creates huge setting. But, still these are strange places.

Now, Games Workshop comes to aid. GW has published new site, that has nice information about the Age of Sigmar setting. It is your companion to this conflict in the Mortal Realms. So, if you want to start learning more about the Age of Sigmar and the Mortal Realms before the RPG comes, visit the links below. If not - Well, "World That Was" is still one of the best fantasy settings ever.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Roleplaying Game Announced! (Cubicle 7, GW)

Warhammer Lore (updated)

Just noticed, that one of the legendary wiki sites, Hammerwiki (Warhammer Online) will merge with another great wiki Warhammer Wiki. Here's their announcement:

Dear Hammerwiki contributor and viewers, it is with great pleasure that I like to announce that our staff from our sister site of Warhammer Wiki has agreed to aid this fellow Warhammer site by helping to merge our content with theirs. In the process, we'd hope that by combining our two communities, we can better help aid and improve our knowledge of the Warhammer universe for all to see and read. Rest assured that the majority of the content written and made in this wiki will be transfered to our sister site Warhammer wiki, and will be kept intact or improved upon by our dedicated team of contributors. If there is anything you'd wish to talk about concerning this merge, please message me at my message wall. Thank you and have a nice day!

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Wikipedia

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar is here...

So, the new Warhammer: Age of Sigmar is here ("Mighty battles in an age of unending war"). And it looks REALLY BAD. I mean Warhammer Fantasy has always been one of the best fantasy world settings ever made, and now this. Why? Well, the internet and various forums are full of all kinds of speculations. I won't go to those. Truth is, the good old Warhammer (grim and perilous) settings is now history and this new terrible high fantasy world setting is the new reboot. So, all that history and knowledge is wasted. Yes, there are stuff/persons (gods) that connect this new age to the one before The End Times, but still - this is totally new setting.

You can find (if you want to) more official information about the products...etc from Games Workshop and Black Library.

The Age of Sigmar Is Coming

These were the End Times. The world is no more, torn apart by treachery and Chaos. And yet... endings beget beginnings.

Listen carefully. Can you hear it? The cruel laughter of dark gods? It dances on the winds between worlds, striving to be heard, for the ruinous powers bore easily, and they seek tirelessly for new realities to conquer. Where there is life, Chaos will find it, and misery and bloodshed will soon follow.

The world is gone, but all may not be lost.

The descendants of the Old Ones left before the Chaos moon destroyed their homelands, that much is certain. But where did they go?

And if they escaped, did anyone else?

Can what is dead ever truly die?

Who remains lost in the void?

To what does he cling?

And when a world dies…

…what happens next?

What happens to the Warhammer Fantasy after The End Times? Yep, this is what all of us fans want to know - and also fear. But, it seems that this summer we will have answers, good or bad ones.

Keep checking more information from the official Games Workshop site.
