Black Library is still publishing stories from The World That Was. There was a vote, and Readers' Choise was Drachenfels by Jack Yeovil. The novel was originally published in the 1980s. It is still one of the most legendary and loved stories based in the good old Warhammer world. Black Library is publishing Readers' Choise as paperback.

Story features infamous playwright Detlef Sierck, who decides to stage his greatest work - the recreation of the Great Enchanter Drachenfels's death in the dark fortress where it happened. This will gather the survivors of this event there too, which include Vampire Genevieve and Elector Oswald von Konigswald. But, nothing is that easy, and dark things start to happen...

The Northmen WFRP1 Rules v2.0

Northmen are here! New (version 2) document features rules about the infamous and feared barbaric and nomad cultures living in the northern parts of the Warhammer World: the Norse, the Kurgan and the Hung.

Rules include:

• Character Rules for each three tribes (and also one extra culture: The Tribes of Skaramor)
• Careers. My old Northmen & Norsca WFRP1 Careers revisited and expanded. Also, number of new ones, which give much more logical Career-paths for Northmen marauders. Remember, that these careers are same as in my Norsca Project, but just include some extra Careers more suitable for tribes living in the Chaos Wastes. Document gives rules and ideas what careers to use with each tribe.
• Career rules for Champions of Chaos (Chaos Warriors and Chaos Sorcerers) and simple rules for Rewards of Chaos.
• New Skills.
• Document also features heretical rules for Bloodspeakers - Khornate demagogues and priests, that have mystical powers. But, they are not spellcasters! They have different types of powers fuelled by mutations. These rules finally give option how Khorne worshippers could summon Daemons of Khorne. Rule ideas for these powers are combined using various sources (Warhammer 40.000, Age of Sigmar, Warhammer Fantasy: The End Times).
